Therefore, nurses should have the knowledge on how to provide appropriate stoma care. Aims We aimed to evaluate educational materials developed based on the results of a survey conducted among nurses. Methods First, a first survey was conducted among 12 nurses to analyze their knowledge on stoma care. Next, a workshop using educational materials developed based on the results of the first survey was conducted. Subsequently, a second survey was performed after six months to evaluate the effectiveness of these educational materials. Findings The results of the first survey showed the areas where nurses lacked knowledge. Meanwhile, the results of the second survey demonstrated that images and photographs enhanced the learning effect of these educational materials.
